Group coaching includes the use of collaboration, networking, and community building. Coaching may take place in person or via telephone on a weekly, biweekly, or monthly basis.
Coaching is a very personal and professional experience that involves the same attention to confidentiality as any professional or therapeutic relationship. Confidentiality agreements are agreed-to upon prior to the start of the process.
No. Coaching is not therapy although there are some similarities. Like therapy, coaching is goal-oriented and confidential. They both assist and support you as you work toward reaching your desired end. Both modes focus on helping you remove obstacles that prevent you from moving forward.
Unlike therapy, coaching helps you strategize an action plan to move forward. It is not concerned with past history (as therapy may be) but focused on the present.
